This idea for the book came from my limited sympathy for Mr. Ghadafi. He had heard and experienced something from the old days, but in the end Sarkozy said to his country: whoever calls him scum is not scum, whoever describes Ghadafi as unworthy is himself worthy of life. And look, North Africa is still suffering, and is sending more refugees who are welcomed to the French borders with tea and honey as worthy of life.
