آقا محمّد على به حرف او اعتنا نكرد و او را كشت. هنوز جنازه بدلا روى زمين بود كه آقا محمّد على از زير دالانى عبور ميكرد ناگهان سقف خراب شد و در زير سقف جان سپرد. چون ايشان عالم مشهور و معروف كرمانشاه بود و احترامى مخصوص در ميان مردم داشت فوراً جنازه‌اش را تشييع و دفن كردند، امّا در اين أحيان كسى به بدلا توجّه نداشت و جنازه وى در گوشه‌اى افتاده بود و هنوز دفن نشده بود.
مرحوم آية الله انصارى فرمودند: گرچه مظفّر عليشاه و سيّد معصوم عليشاه و بدلا مسلك درويشى داشتند؛ و اين مسلك خوب نيست، امّا فرمان قتل اولياى خدا را صادر كردن كار آسانى نيست.» (روح مجرد، ص
